What if you could legally import a R34 GT-R in a manner similar to a 25-year old car...

Im over the GT-R. There are some fantastic examples out there, but I just dont want one, and I dont fangirl over any generation if I see them. Ive had to tell too many R32 owners to cut the bullshit at C&C. Not that the car really makes a difference, assholes come in all shapes and colors, but the GT-R doesnt excite me.

Now, you drive past me in a Unimog, VR-4, or any chopped (or restomodded, or original) classic/antique and you best believe you have my attention.

Lets talk about the 25 year rule with Maloos for once.

Firstly....what kind of board? Redwood? Plywood? Cedar?

Secondly, if I could import the R34 in a manner similar to a 25-yead-old car, I would be confused because I live in Canada and we can already import them under the 15-year rule! :P

If I had the cash, I would for sure. Definitely one of my favorites among the forbidden fruit, along with the TVR Sagaris.

Sure they’re both Bertone wedges with hydropneumatics on Peugeot platforms (the 405 and 605, respectively) but you’ve gotta be better than that at identifying your obscure ‘90s French hatches!

Anyways, I digress. The last one is one of 806 Renault Safrane Biturbos. Built with Hartge and Irmscher, the thing had the V6 out of the Alpine A610 (itself a modified PRV-ew) but with twin turbos, AWD, and a mandatory stick shift backing its 258 horsepower. It was fast for its day but everyone wanted an M5 or Carlton instead. I found one for sale a few months ago for about $20K.
